The company is based from Turkey, and they began their operations in 1992. The brand doesn't make their watches in-house, but instead relies on reputable manufacturers to create their timepieces. The designs have changed over the years but the overall pristine-ness of the brand has remained intact. Momentus watches come in stainless steel, ion plated iterations, titanium, and ceramic cases usually paired with bracelets or genuine leather straps.
The Momentus FD239B-04SG is equipped with a black ion plated mesh style strap, which is definitely in fashion now. Naturally, the case is also crafted from black ion plated stainless steel. The case features dimensions of 42mm for the diameter, and just 11mm for the case thickness. This timepiece carries a push/pull main crown and chronograph pushpieces. The water resistance on this watch stands at 50 meters (5 ATM).
The dial is black with yellow gold colored baton indexes, with matching baton hour and minute hands. The date aperture is even rimmed in yellow gold tone. All in all, I love the contrast this presents on the dial. A subdial at 3 gives the time in 24 hour format, while the subdials at 6 and 9 offer the chrono-seconds and chrono minutes respectively. The indicators featured in the counters are all yellow gold tone making for easy readability. The Momentus FD239B-04SG has a mineral crystal held in place by the narrow bezel. Powering this watch is a Japanese made quartz movement.
